Review Process

How a private game moves from draft to Testing Grounds.

Lifecycle

  • Draft: private game record in the Developer Dashboard.
  • Uploaded Build: private ZIP uploaded for validation.
  • Sandbox: private validated build preview.
  • Submitted for Review: developer asks Buncha Games to review the game for Testing Grounds.
  • Admin Review: Buncha Games checks build, metadata, content, domains, and playability.
  • Testing Grounds Live: approved public experimental listing and play page.
  • Main Page Promotion: possible later, always human-reviewed and never guaranteed.

Manual Alpha review

Review is manual during the Developer Alpha. Timing may vary because Alpha is founder-operated and intentionally controlled.

Buncha Games may ask for changes before approving public play. Common reasons include broken loads, missing controls, source files in the ZIP, undisclosed external domains, unsafe content, or unclear ownership.

Possible outcomes

Buncha Games may approve, request changes, reject, unpublish, or remove a game when needed to protect players and platform trust.

Approval for Testing Grounds does not imply traffic, main page promotion, monetization eligibility, or future payout eligibility.

Updating a game

  • Upload a new private build in the Developer Dashboard.
  • Preview the build in Sandbox before submitting it.
  • Public-impacting changes may require another review.
  • Unpublished, removed, draft, sandbox, and submitted-only games should not be publicly playable.
