What Alpha publishing means
The Developer Alpha is a controlled publishing test, not a full commercial launch channel.
Approved games can become public experimental listings in Testing Grounds with public play pages. Traffic, featuring, main page promotion, and monetization are not guaranteed.
Listing details Buncha Games may review
- Game title and short description.
- Controls and first-run instructions.
- Tags, categories, and content expectations.
- Screenshots, capsule art, or other media when requested by Buncha Games.
- External domains and backend services used by the game.
- Clear ownership or rights to submit the game.
What makes a good Alpha submission
- The game loads quickly enough for a browser playtest.
- The first playable moment is obvious.
- Keyboard, mouse, touch, or gamepad controls are explained in-game.
- The build does not require login, payments, ads, crypto, or external scripts to start.
- The game is honest about rough edges and is ready for private feedback.
Updates and versions
Use new private builds when you want to update a game. Preview the new build in Sandbox before asking Buncha Games to review it for public play.
Changes that affect public play, safety, external domains, metadata, or content may require another review. Buncha Games may unpublish or remove a game when needed to protect players and platform trust.
Feedback and visibility
- Player feedback is private to Buncha Games admins and the game developer.
- Reports are safety/support signals, not public reviews.
- Testing Grounds discovery is experimental during Alpha.
- Main page promotion may happen later, but only after human review and without a promise of timing or traffic.
